Sometimes pretty gets thrown around as “that woman wouldn’t be where she was if she wasn’t attractive”, which is sexist and wrong.

It’s sexist because it assumes that they didn’t work hard and make difficult choices and bring the bravery.

And it’s wrong because…

there are a lot of pretty women out there who are nowhere.

And lots of others who are amazing and successful and look like they’ve been hit with a shovel.

I want to take the word Pretty back.

I think my description of pretty has changed since high school. As in – I always thought I was stupid, fat and ugly. Well? Frankly, if your heart is pretty, I think you’re pretty on the outside no matter what. You could be a stunning blonde bombshell and have a disgusting heart and I would find you ugly For the first time in my life, I think I’m pretty. And only because I like my heart.
