My Birthday is in One Week

One week, people. June 10th. And here’s what we’re doing — we’re going to Rontom, then to Karaoke, then to a special, undisclosed location for stuff. And by stuff I mean naked ladies dancing on poles.
So, RSVP here. And, if you’re on Twitter, drop @kiala a line. BECAUSE KIALA IS FLYING UP HERE FOR THE PARTY!
And if you’re uncertain about whether to attend, please note that there will be another special guest at my birthday party. My best friend from high school will be there. THAT’S RIGHT — someone who has known me for three seventeen years will be attending. He will take your questions about what I was like as a youngster (brilliant), what it’s like being a man for whom Melissa Lion has had a decades-long slow burning unrequited love, and he might even hug you– yum. And his boyfriend will be there too and he can answer questions about how I make both of them uncomfortable with my flirting and groping.
Basically, it’s going to be good times.
I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing red cowboy boots.
And I might do a duet with my high school BFF to Erasure or something. Because that’s what we used to do in high school. And pine for boys. And get our hair cut and drink mochas at the Pannikin and talk about how we HATED everyone. Because they SUCKED.
Did I mention that my high school BFF JUST MOVED TO PORTLAND?!?
And then Kiala will move back and oh my god, I never knew I could have such joy in my life!

So, you’re sending me an airline ticket when? I can be the designated driver. Seriously. It would be worth it for all parties involved. What’s a $600 plane ticket in light of a DUI?
