*Sigh*

Here’s Intern Meagan and Kiala wearing a hat I made for her. It’s a going away present.
It was a fun knit and when I make it for myself, I’m going to add a pattern repeat to accommodate my huge head.
Side view. I love this hat and thought about keeping it with me in Portland.
I thought the same thing about Kiala.
But, as the saying goes, if you love something, set it free.
Signing off now. Been feeling seasick all day. I think it’s a combination of sadness about Kiala moving, post-event stress relief and too many burritos after a too far bike ride yesterday.
Hey, hug your friends more often, would you? It feels good and when they move I’d like to say you won’t feel quite so sad, but it’s not true. It’s just as hard.
Next post: Melissa moves to San Francisco!

Nice work on the hat and I’m sure Kiala will think of you every time she wears it! Wanna be my friend? I need a hat!

Sad about your friend moving
The one problem with modern communication is that it gives one the false hope/impression that geography doesn’t separate us anymore. If only we could all live in the same neighborhood…

Great. Now I’m sobbing. You broke my Effexor, Melissa Lion.
Thank you for the hug. It made me sad and happy. And yours too, Intern Meagan.

Shut the F Up. You are not moving to SF. If you are, sarah will be a very happy bunny.

Uh. No. You’re not moving to San Francisco.

This sucks. It sucks even harder that I didn’t get to get in my Kiala hugs before she departs. Stupid grown up job! I’m weeping silently into my keyboard and I think its just started smoking.

I say we all move to San Francisco.
@meagank: Yes, your boobs do look great.

I know this isn’t true but give me a moment to imagine it for a moment. A moment to dream and wish and hope……..
Ahh that feels like sex. You in San Francisco — OK. I’m over it.
WTF? Eh!
Congrats on Back Fence. Wish I was there to watch it all go down. ha, ha, ha, ha!! I didn’t mean the entire thing to sound like a dirty joke.

Where are you guys hanging out? A train station? A place with weird benches that face each other without a table in-between? Is this a hair salon? A train stop? A shoe shine parlor?

@Robert – Definitely a shoe shine parlor. All Portland bloggers wear the shiniest shoes.

How come Kiala gets such pretty hair?

Robert & Chris
We were at the always hip & snazzy Ace Hotel for tea, because we’re grown ups. It’s where they have awkward seating and baristas who seem annoyed when you make your order.
And I do have shiny shoes. That part is true.
