I don’t want anyone starving

Posted on | July 26, 2008 | 9 Comments

I saw my pal, Rick Turoczy, yesterday. He asked me if I had just “taken the week off” blogging. Right? Because Silicon Florist reads this blog.  I’m famous.

He also told me he’s starving to death because I haven’t posted a cooking vimeo in so long.

So, this is for Rick Turoczy.

And yes, I am taking the week off from blogging.

    1) there’s nothing wrong with your rack.
    2) steve doesn’t look 100% mexican.
    3) i had black beans yesterday for dinner as part of a yummy chicken/cilantro/mango/lime dish.

Dammit Ken! I was going to leave a numbered list as a comment and now I can’t. You suck.
    A) you have a very nice set of hooters there.
    B) I am very impressed with your Espanol and your skills with the can-o openarioer.
C)Will you please show us how to make enchiladas?

Ole! indeed. My famine is finito. ;)

Thank you so much! I am printing out this blog post and framing it. And then I’m getting one of those digital frame thingees. (You know those things?) And I’m going to put the video on there and have it loop non-stop.

Why is it that I haven’t met Rick Turoczy?

Does he know that Simon Willison and I are best friendsies?

    That video was the great.

    Oh my. This is awkward.

    Um.

Hi…? Face of the Cookie is in my feed reader. And (and!) the people in front of me in line to get into the Sourceforge Community Choice Awards were talking about you. So we’ve kind of met…?

    No? Okay. Um.

You’re not missing anything. Trust me. Or, ask Melissa.

I covet your hot water heater. I searched endlessly for a simple, plastic, automatic shut-off hot water heater this winter and couldn’t find what I wanted. I had a great one in college that cost $25 at Target when I bought it, but now I can’t find it again, and suddenly hot water heaters have become SO expensive and complicated – I’ve seen them for up to $80 at Kitchen Kaboodle! My god, what is the world coming to?

My son watched this with me and he kept saying “Again again” so we went through and watched a bunch of your Vimeos. My son is a Melissa Lion fan. :-)

  8. Face of the Cookie || I had a great time drinking with the ladies of the Portland Brain Trust but this post is not about that.
