Okay Fine
Well, I feel like we’ve put the Back Fence PDX word out there. And that people will come. And there’s nothing left for us to do but show up and let the storytellers and the models strut their stuff. I was relieved when I woke up this morning. And then I was nervous. And then relaxed. And now I’m in a peculiar state where I check my email every thirty seconds expecting the Nobel committee to give me and Frayn an award for this thing. But, as Frayn keeps saying, tonight isn’t about us. We can be funny and charming, but NOT TOO FUNNY AND CHARMING because that’s the storytellers’ and models’ job. I will admit it, it’s going to be very difficult for me to not want to BE THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. But I will not be. Because there are people who are far more interesting than I am who will be telling stories. And these people are my heroes, because the truth is, I don’t know if I could do it.
And that’s been pretty much how it feels in my brain all morning.
So I made a video for you. It’s five minutes long. I don’t know if you want to watch all of that. You choose. I’ll just know that however long you watch it = your love for me.

I was wanting to do an Melissa Lion inspired cooking show on my blog too. I might share my recipe for vegetable lasagna or eggplant chimichangas.
I can’t decide. We’ll see.

Oh I liked that! I need a teapot. I use a crappy spoon infuser thing and it just is not the same.
I put my almond milk in first, too. Not only am I low class…I am a hippy with dairy issues.
